Wind Rose Tool
Wind roses show the frequency of winds from different directions, and at different speeds, over a given period of time. These offer an easy way to view local wind patterns, which can affect air temperatures (e.g., northerly winds are generally cooler), moisture availability (e.g., winds off the ocean bring more saturated air), and the dispersion of smoke or pollutants.
To get started, click a weather station on the map. Actively reporting stations with at least 5 years' of historical observations are shown.
