About

The Air Quality Portal is a collaboration between the State Climate Office of North Carolina at NC State University and the North Carolina Division of Air Quality, part of the Department of Environmental Quality.

Within this Portal, you can access data and resources about air quality across the state, from real-time Air Quality Index and ozone conditions in the Ozone Design Value Predictor to the latest forecasts in the Air Quality Model Guidance tool to a historical wind climatology in the Wind Rose tool.

Additional tools are planned or in development, including an updated Ambient Monitoring Tool for North Carolina showing air quality and weather conditions from monitoring sites across the state.

You can also read about air quality and how it’s monitoring on our Education page, which includes past blog posts from the SCO and DAQ, and links to additional resources.
